SFC Game Development Program

Positionless basketball has become prominent in offenses from the NBA on down. The ability to handle the ball and make good decisions are the most common traits that best allow that system to be successful.

Coach Fale, our Skills Director, is an expert at teaching ball-handling, manipulating screen and roll situations, and bending the defense with IQ and effective dribbling.

Our on-court curriculum will include:

  • Proper Footwork

  • Effective and Efficient Dribbling and Passing

  • Shooting (off the catch, from off-ball screens, on-ball screens, triple threat, etc)

  • Finishing in Traffic

  • Manipulating Screen and Roll Actions

  • Creating Space for Your Shot

  • Change of Pace Movements

  • Reading and Reacting to the Defense

  • Mental Training (understanding the nuances of the game and applying the why to the what and the how . . . this is the most important aspect of training!)

SFC Deadeye Shooting Academy

Our SF Champions Deadeye Shooting Academy, which is limited to 24 players per session, is a progression-based shooting program that will emphasize a wide variety of shooting skills. Players will shoot between 200 - 300 shots per session. With the influx of pace and space basketball in today's game, being a knockdown shooter has never been more important.

Most importantly, we want players to be able to break down their own shooting form and "self-correct", which is very important in-game. We will record parts of our sessions to review with players and document their progress.

Our on-court drills include:

  • One-hand shooting progressions

  • Shooting off the catch

  • Stride-step shooting

  • Proper hand positioning

  • Establishing an effective and efficient
    shooting pocket

  • Developing range on your shot

  • Using the dribble to create a rhythm

  • Locating your shooting target

And more . . .
