SF Champions Small Group COVID-19 Safety Protocols 

 

SF Champions prioritizes the health and safety of our families. Therefore, we have adopted the following operating protocols to help maintain a safe environment for the participants and staff involved in workouts.

 

Daily Procedures

 

  • SF Champions safety precaution signs will be posted at each workout site
     

  • Participants must arrive for their workout in the 10 minute time frame prior to their workout. Participants should not arrive more than 10 minutes early, and will not be allowed to participate if they arrive after the scheduled workout time
     

  • Participants must leave the site within 5 minutes of the scheduled end of their workout. No one will be allowed to stay and socialize in order to maintain the schedule for the next workout, and the safety of all participants
     

  • Participants are required to wear a mask during training sessions unless notified otherwise
     

  • Health Screens: Each day, participants and coaches will receive a contactless temperature check when they arrive and will be able to participate if their temperature is within required guidelines (not over 100.4)
     

  • Participants will be asked to share if any health conditions have changed from the previous day or week
     

  • Where possible, participants will enter the workout site at one facility opening and exit at another location to ensure maximum safety
     

  • Staff will have clearly marked proper distancing spots on the court, and will monitor the participants for distancing policy adherence
     

  • All immediate workout sites are closed to spectators. We will inform you in advance if there are opportunities to watch training from outside of the facility
     

  • Hand sanitizer will be available to all participants and staff.
     

  • Group size:  All sessions will be limited to a maximum of 12 participants
     

  • Participants must adhere to social distancing requirements by remaining at least 6 feet apart from one another, except during the 3x3 scrimmages.  Participants who do not adhere to this policy will be removed from the workout and isolated from the other participants until the end of the session
     

  • Participants are encouraged to bring water bottles to the workout, but the bottles should be clearly labeled with the participants name
     

  • Participants must bring their own basketball to the workout, and must not touch any other participant’s basketball during the session
     

  • Participants will be encouraged to enjoy success with distance celebration
     

  • Participants are encouraged to use the bathroom before arriving for their workout, as restroom facilities may not be available at the workout sites
     

  • Participants will be encouraged to stay home if they are feeling sick or exhibiting any symptoms of illness
     

  • All sessions will be conducted by 1 or 2 coaches
     

  • Coaches will be instructed to wear a mask, covering their face while instructing
     

  • Coaches will adhere to social distancing requirements by remaining at least 6 feet apart from the participants
     

  • Instructors will not come in contact with any participant’s basketball, unless they are wearing gloves
     

  • Coaches will be encouraged to stay home if they are feeling sick or exhibiting any symptoms of illness

 

Workout Safety Precautions

  1. Please enter at the workout entrance and leave at the exit area.
     

  2. Wait for coaches to take your temperature before entering the facility.
     

  3. Do not participate if you are feeling sick.
     

  4. Practice social distancing. Areas will be marked off to assist in this process.
     

  5. Follow coaches’ instructions at all times.
     

  6. Maintain courteous and respectful behavior at all times
