MFC Tournament Rules
2022

Uniforms / Ball Size / Clock  

  • Home team is 1st team on schedule (wears light color) 

  • Game time is typically forfeit time. Special circumstances will be at the tournament  director’s discretion.

  • Ball size: 28.5 Boys 9U-12U; 29.5 Boys 13U-17U (Home Team Supplies)

  • Two 20-minute halves with running clock

  • The clock will stop the 10 seconds of the first half and the last two minutes of the game provided the score is within 10 points or less. 

Warm Up / Timeouts / Overtime / Free Throws 

  • 2-minute warm up time minimum before each game

  • 2 minute half time 

  • Three 30 second time-outs per game

  • 1st overtime is 2 mins; 2nd overtime is 1 min; 3rd overtime is sudden death… first team  to score two points

  • One 30 second timeout per overtime

  • Free throws will be 1 & 1 at 7 fouls, double bonus at 10 fouls

  • A player fouls out on 5th personal foul. 

Technical Fouls / Ejections / Fans Conduct 

  • Two technical fouls will result in automatic ejection from the game

  • Any ejections of coaches or players will be an automatic suspension from the next game -  NO EXCEPTIONS! 

  • Any ejections of coaches or players for fighting will be an automatic ejection from the  rest of the tournament - NO EXCEPTIONS!

  • Coaches are responsible for controlling their fans and supporters. Any problems could  result in team technical fouls or game forfeiture
