SF Champions Coaches
Kareem Guilbeaux
Founder & Director
Coach Guilbeaux was raised in San Francisco and attended St. Stephen’s and St. Ignatius College Prep before attending San Jose State University where he graduated with honors in 2006. AT SJSU, he lettered in Basketball for four years, two as their team captain. For over 15 years, Kareem worked at St. Ignatius in Admissions and served as the Head Basketball Coach for the Men's Junior Varsity team and Head Volleyball Coach for the Men's Varsity team for over 15 years.
Shortly after graduating from San Jose State, Kareem started
the Be A Champion Basketball Camp in San Francisco. Hundreds of boys and girls attended the camp each summer; many of whom went on to play for SF Champions.
Throughout his youth, Kareem played for various CYO and Park and Rec championship teams in San Francisco. He realized early on that success relies as much on hard work as it does on talent. His accomplishments on the court were augmented by what he learned in the classroom and Kareem worked hard to maintain the necessary balance between his academics and his love of basketball.
Coach Guilbeaux is the epitome of the SF Champion Basketball spirit and, with his talent, he is truly a Champion 'ON' and 'OFF' the court!
